Norfolk status Common and widespread. Spreading rapidly.
Noted as local in woodland, gardens and parkland. Increasingly frequent in Hertfordshire and Bedfordshire and quite a widespread species in south Suffolk.
New for Norfolk in 2017 when vacated mines where found on Field Maple at the BTO Nunnery Lakes reserve, Thetford. (A. Musgrove, 30/10/2017)
Widespread records in 2018+ across southern Norfolk, spreading northwards in both Vice-counties.
The larvae mine the leaves of Field Maple and Norway Maple from end of June-early July, August-early September.
